Surgical Simulator - VR

Project Goal : To build a VR surgical training solution that would allow medical residents to be better prepared before facing real patients.

Timeline : 2019 - 2020 

Project Duration : 10 months

Client : Product developed by Buzzark Xr . We had medical expertise from Harvard Medical School and Ramachandra Medical University.

End User : Medical resident students 

Technology Used :

  • Unity was the gaming platform used for this project. The target VR devices where - HTC Vive and Meta Quest tethered .

  • Build 2 Modules for Laparoscopic Surgery for Gall Bladder removal

  • Built custom Soft body physics algorithms to simulate organs touch and feel for this project.

  • Also experimented with Geo Magic touch Haptic device for this project.

  • We made Alpha , Beta prototypes and trailed the product at 2 Medical Institutions.

Automobile Assembly trainer - VR

Project Description:

Developed a VR training application for assembly floor workers at an automobile manufacturing company, completed within a 2 -month timeframe. The application was built using Unity and targeted the HTC Vive device. CAD models were imported using the Unity Pixyz CAD plugin, while 3 D models and environments were created in Blender, with level design executed in Unity.

The VR application featured a Guided Training mode with user prompts and an Evaluation mode without prompts,

where performance scores were reported to a cloud-based dashboard, enabling effective skill assessment and training of automobile technicians.

Powerplant Maintenance Trainer VR

Project Goal : To build Maintenance and Operations training content in VR for a Powerplant. We built 50 such modules for 300 mins training content.

Timeline : 2020  

Project Duration : 6 months

Client : NTPC - National Thermal Power Corporation, Govt of India Undertaking

End User : Technicians and New Engineers at Power plant

  • Unity was the gaming platform used for this project. The target VR devices where - HTC Vive and Meta Quest tethered , Quest Untethered also.

  • Built 50 Modules in VR 

  • Apk builds delivered for Quest 

  • Unity Exe delivered for PC Version

Engine Assembly Trainer VR

Project Goal : To build VR training program for an automobile company in India . We built 6 assembly procedures in VR that is being used to train new assemblers to gain speed of execution on task in VR.

  • Unity was the gaming platform used for this project. The target VR devices where - Meta Quest with Hand Tracking

  • Hand tracking with fully touch based UI was implemented 

  • Fist grab was used for pick and place of gears in the gearbox

Manufacturing Process Trainer VR

Project Goal : A Manufacturing company that makes packaging equipment for Amazon was starting a new facility in Michigan US during 2020 -2021 Covid. For training new workforce at the plant , a multiuser VR project was developed for allowing employees of existing plant to train new workforce at the new plant 

Timeline : 2021

Project Duration : 6 months

Client : PAC Worldwide , technology delivered with PixoVR

End User : Machine operators 

Technology Used :

  • Unity was the gaming platform used for this project. The target VR devices where - HTC Vive and Meta Quest tethered .

  • 16 Machine operating procedures were built in VR

  • Multi user upto 10 members was built - Photon PUN 2 was used with Voice and Chat features 

  • Guided training and Evaluation mode was built in to test the skill level of the trained workforce, custom reports were generated.

Metaverse Multi user platform

Goal:
o build a metaverse application that serves as a social platform for engaging gamers, shoppers, and advertisers, enabling them to interact in a fully immersive, multi-user environment.

Project Description:
Developed a metaverse social platform to engage gamers, shoppers, and advertisers in an immersive environment, combining gaming, virtual shopping, and social interaction. The platform was designed for a 1k concurrent user capacity with a scalable architecture to accommodate additional users.

Aviation Assembly Trainer VR

Project Goal : To build a VR based Maintenance training simulator 

Client : Gulf Aviation Academy in Bahrain

End User : Aviation Technicians

Project Duration : 3 months 

Technology Used :

  • ​Unreal 4 was used for building this VR experience 

  • Target devices - Meta Quest 2 

  • The application was a self training content that was to be used for training aviation technicians and engineers to learn in immersive 3D environment 

  • 3D modelling of the CFM LEAP engine was done on Blender from Picture references provided from Boeing 777 Aviation manual

Railways Education AR app

Project Goal : To build a learning application with AR for Mobile phone

Client : Indian Railways 

End User : New Railways engineers and technicians

Project Duration : 2 months

Technology Used :

  • Unity 3D was used to build the Mobile app with AR foundation for Android and IoS devices 

  • 3D modelling was done using Blender

  • The physical equipment photo references of the equipment were captured on the site and 3D models were built to match them

Remote Rehab AR Experiment

Project Goal : An Experiment at Remote Rehabilitation in an AR gamified experience

Client : Collaboration project with Harvard Medical School

End User : Research purpose only
Timeline : 2021

Project Duration : 2 months

Technology Used :

  • Nreal Glasses were used for AR , connected to an android phone 

  • Unity 3D was used to build the AR experience 

  • The concept was that a patient would stand in front of a laptop on video call, where the doctor is at the other end of the video call

  • The video call happens on the Unity App where the user body posture is estimated use Pose detection alogrithm running in the Unity App

  • The Doctor has a user interface to place a virtual ball in the AR space to ask the patient to touch the ball , which would be a virtual exercise for the patient .

  • During this exercise the body posture angles will be recorded and noted which will be used for medical evaluation for the Doctor.
    The concept was developed for Remote medical rehabilitation

Jersey Selector AR Fan Engagement project

Project Goal : To build a Jersey selector application for Sports Fan engagement solution

Client : Ice hockey team in US

End User : Fans at Ice Hockey Stadium on touch screen

Express VR - No Code 3D VR 

Project Goal : To build a No Code platform that can allow users to create interactive 3D user manuals and 3D product demos easily

Client : Product built by Buzzark and Express VR for global market

End User : Ecommerce companies , Product manufacturing companies

Technology Used :

  • three Js , React js , Babylon Js , React Fiber

  • AWS and Firebase for back end 

  • The tech works with a front end web viewer , back end cloud content management dashboard and third output viewer based on React js / Three js

  • Users can user the web creator app of the Express VR tool to upload 3D models , create interactive experiences and publish them on the ExpressVR cloud 

  • Users can share the content published on the ExpressVR cloud as weblinks , iframe links and QR code 

  • The content can be viewed in Interactive 3D , AR and VR format 

Boomlift Equipment VR Trainer

Project Goal : To build a VR simulator to train operators of boom lift equipment before driving the actual equipment

Client : Boomlift Manufacturer in India

End User : Boomlift Operators

Project Duration : 4 months 

Technology Used :

  • Unity 3D was the game engine used 

  • Custom equipment physics was developed 

  • Vehicle Physics system was used for vehicle movement and interaction 

  • Target Device - Meta Quest 2 with Custom controller 

  • ​Custom Hardware controller replicating the actual boomlift operational kit was built to communicate with the Quest headset with Bluetooth .​

  • The user goes through a series of training actions in the VR module to understand the basics of operating the boomlift equipment , safe practices and also has an evaluation aat the end where he is timed to see the effectiveness of the training and the accuracy with which the operator can drive the boomlift vehicle

Guitar Trainer - Web AR App

Project Goal : To build an immersive guitar tutorial solution for the ministry of culture at Saudi Arabia

Client : Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture

  • Unity webgl output was developed as end output for web hosting

  • Zappar AR was used for the Web AR solution 

  • QR Code tracking was used for overlaying fret 3D hints for the user to play the guitar

  • 20 different musical lessons were built to be learnt on the guitar in this solution 

  • The Web AR solution was integrated to be launched with the client LMS

Pump Maintenance 3D Manual

Project Goal : The interactive manual is used for guiding maintenance engineers, technicians and safely installing the pump and also conducting maintenance activities on them.
The equipment distributors are the end users of the digital manuals who own the after sales installation and maintenance of the pumps
